"Helping Hands - Caring Hearts"

With 250 members and guests in attendance we had a wonderful historic "Walk back in Time" with David Schwabauer, President of the Moorpark Historical Society, along with Mike Winters, also a historian. We featured vintage fashions from the 1900's to 1970's and David shared things that happened in each era as the following models displayed the vintage clothing.

1900 Nightgown - Riley Friedl
1910 Traveling Suit - Janet Fenerin
1920 Flapper - Jolene Veres
1930 Feed Sack Dress - Heidi Best
1940 Prom Dress - Suzy Lesiak
1950 Poodle Skirt - Gloria Guhl
1960 Go Go Dancer - Shannan Keenan
1970 Hippie - Mary Schultz

We had another beautiful quilt crafted by Diane Grossman, which adorned our wall until the lucky winner could take it home. President Gloria Guhl told the audience that last year, in 2015 our event was able to give more than $22,000 to our local charities, schools, and scholarships both for high school students of Moorpark as well as women returning to school.
